The Challenge 40 finale is set to air on MTV on January 1, 2025. One of the finalists, Tori Deal, won The Final Elimination task against Cara Maria Sorbello. After winning the challenge, Tori became the finalist and advanced to the reality competition show's finale.

Tori Deal recently appeared on Johnny Bananas podcast, Death, Taxes, and Bananas' Episode 17. She talked about various things about the show during her appearance.

Fans must know that Johnny Bananas is also one of the finalists in The Challenge 40. He asked Tori various questions, for which the female participant opened up and shared various things.

One of the things that Tori and Johnny discussed was how Tori felt "heaviness" for the upcoming finale of the competition show.

"Dude, absolutely like, first of all, that final challenge I was, I felt so heavy that day. I think it was knowing that there was a final around the corner. I had just made it to the last four finals in a row. I think like the heaviness that you approach a final with everyone's excited, but it sinks in pretty quickly, and it's about to be very hard."

She continued:

"I think mentally, I wasn't in the right space the day of that final challenge, and when I saw the other girls really pushing for it. I didn't have that. So I was like, I'm going to lay back completely because I don't even have it in me right now like, even if I wanted to push, it would have, I think I might have died like, I really think that challenge was so hard."

She discussed prioritizing herself during her recent podcast appearance for "The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras" Episode 17 With Tori. The finalist mentioned she "set boundaries" and "protect" herself.

Further, Tori mentioned how "Ego" helps participants to "protect" themselves in the game:

"Ego is the thing that protects us in this game. It's the thing that helps us to remember that we're worthy of love when times get hard as long as we're people who can take accountability and who are willing to see it from all angles. Having an ego is going to be the thing that helps us get through hard times."

She mentioned seeing things from "everybody else's" perspective, as it would help create a "better vibe" between:

"You and the environment that you're creating with the people you're around. So I think those are just things that I've learned from, like you know, the extreme environments we've been put in and playing a game where you, you know, we're humans."

Later in the podcast, The Challenge 40 star Johnny Bananas mentioned about location changes and more.

MTV will stream The Challenge 40 Finale on January 1, 2025.
