Shark Tank's investor and founder of the BRAK system, an integrated Canadian internet security software, Robert Herjavec keeps on motivating and guiding his followers with his posts. Herjavec is known for his obsession with work and perfectionism. He has previously opened up about "working relentlessly" and not chasing a 'work-life balance' through his Instagram post.

One such insightful post was on "People who succeed in life". On December 30, 2024, the Coatian-Canadian businessman imparted an important lesson on how to join the streak of successful people. He posted a picture of himself with a quote written alongside, and it reads:

"People who succeed in life have a need for something greater than themselves."

That was not it. The Shark Tank investor also made an effort to explore the topic further and explain his meaning to his audience. He substantiated his argument by giving an example of himself and mentioned that when he is on the set of Shark Tank, the moment he listens to a pitch, he knows whether the person is "chasing money" or wants to do something bigger with a greater purpose.

According to Herjavec those who chase just money will never be able to achieve something larger than life because they are just working for themselves. It is important for anyone who wants to succeed, to find their reason and work towards it. He added:

"Success rooted in purpose doesn’t just elevate you—it elevates everyone around you. Find your why and let it guide your journey."

"It's about the freedom"- Shark Tank's investor Robert Herjavec believes in using money differently

With a well-framed purpose and a desire to do something for the larger public, one can truly climb the ladder of success. Robert Herjavec quoted Nelson Mandela while making his audience understand that life has more meaning if the person is invested in impacting the lives of the larger section.

However, Herjavec also understands that if money is not utilized as a means rather than an end, it will not be able to change one's life. In an Instagram post, he mentioned that he has witnessed many entrepreneurs who chase money to do what they want but not to buy luxury items.

He further added:

"Money isn’t about the things you can buy—it’s about the freedom it brings. The goal isn’t to chase material possessions but to build a life where you control your time and choices."

Robert Herjavec has been featured in Shark Tank USA as well as Shark Tank Australia as an investor.
