Nadiya Hussain, 39, recently spoke about spending the past two years in and around hospitals. The GBBO 15 winner also discussed the importance of taking care of oneself.
She revealed her health update on October 8, 2024, via an Instagram video,
"I cannot express enough the importance of taking care of yourself. I am the kind of person who burns the candle at both ends. Takes care of everyone else's needs, but my own. I don't take time out for myself. I don't really know what that means or what that feels like. Not really, and when I do take time for myself, I feel incredibly guilty."

Nadiya Hussain, a former winner of The Great British Bake Off, recently revealed the latest update related to her health to her followers on Instagram. As her profile shows, she is "Mother of three. Feeder. Lover of family and footwear," shared,
"Recently, mostly this year, but over the course of two years, I've been quite unwell. I've just been getting quite sick. And over the course of two years, I've been diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases, which I'm not going to go into now."
The GBBO star urged her fans to "take more care" all while she is not,
"Very good at it at all."
In the clip, Nadiya shares how she feels about not getting enough "alone time" to keep her mind and body healthy. Since she turned 40, she has been thinking of sharing such things with her fans, and she finally did recently.
The Great British Bake Off 15 winner added that,
"But I feel like it's really important to come out the other side and, like, really be grateful for and feel blessed that although, you know, it'd be great not to be sick."
Nadiya concluded her message by sharing how she went through the "tough year." She also mentioned various "hospital tests" and added that she felt "blessed" to be alive.
The author of Cook Once: Eat Twice mentioned that she wanted to do all the things that she could. She specifically mentioned how she has been trying to do "things" that can "positively" impact herself mentally and physically.
