Star Wars fans must pay attention! Since Ahsoka Season 2 is on its way to our screens, reports suggest it will feature Ewan McGregor in his iconic role as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Set in the Star Wars universe, the TV series follows the former Jedi apprentice Ahsoka Tano, who plays a crucial role in the galaxy's ongoing battles. The events occur after the Galactic Empire's fall, resulting in a fragile galaxy.

Despite the new threats, Tano continues her quest to keep her galaxy protected and fights against the Empire's remnants. Her main goal is to prevent Grand Admiral Thrawn from becoming the biggest threat to the New Republic's stability.

Tano faced notable challenges in taking down Grand Admiral Thrawn, but he managed to escape and remain at large. The upcoming season is expected to begin right after the events of season 1.

The second chapter will feature Tano and Sabine Wren on their journey to return home. Not only this, but it will also highlight the consequences of Tano's choices in Season 1 and the rise of Grand Admiral Thrawn.

So, how will Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi fit into this narrative? Continue reading to explore the answer in detail.

While the production of Ahsoka Season 2 seems to be moving forward smoothly, there have been rumors about Ewan McGregor appearing as Obi-Wan Kenobi. Fans might see him during flashback scenes alongside Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker and Ariana Greenblatt as young Ahsoka Tano.

The rumor comes from the well-known podcast host Kristian Harloff, who also claims that the flashback scenes will ignite nostalgia among fans as it will be the time of the Clone Wars. If this happens to be true, it would undeniably be memorable for fans as the Clone Wars is one of the most pivotal periods in Star Wars history.

Since Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka were battling the separatist forces during that time, it makes sense for McGregor to reprise his role. These characters have encountered many foes, and fans would love to watch them together again.

Not only this, but Harloff also suggested Natalie Portman return to the beloved universe as Padmé. Despite the character's death in Revenge of the Sith, the rumor claims that the actress is close to finalizing the deal with Lucasfilm.

The podcast host revealed that while Portman hasn't officially signed a deal yet, she is hopeful about the idea. However, the rumors have been confirmed, so take this information as a pinch of salt until Season 2 hits Disney+ sometime in 2026.
