Alfred Molina and Geena Davis will join the cast of The Duffer Brothers’ upcoming show, The Boroughs as confirmed by Netflix’s Tudum. Although they’ve been added to the star-studded cast, details about their role in the supernatural drama remain strictly under wraps.
Given the show’s potentially dark storyline, neither Molina nor Davis are strangers to acting in such a genre. Molina is primarily known for playing the antagonist, ‘Doc Ock’ in the second installment of MCU’s Spiderman. He also played the insightful Chief Inspector Armand Gamache in Three Pines - a mysterious crime drama.
Davis also brings a wealth of experience over her many years in the entertainment industry. Her noteworthy appearances include The Exorcist (the series between 2016 and 2017), Will & Grace, and Grey’s Anatomy. Speaking to the publication, the Duffer brothers commented on the similarities between Stranger Things and The Boroughs as they teased the upcoming show:
“They are similarly a lovable bunch of misfits, and we can’t wait for you to join them on an adventure that is as at turns scary, funny, and deeply touching.”
