As season 15 of Doctor Who is fast approaching, news about the mysterious elderly woman, Mrs. Flood, has come to light. Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies has spoken about the fate of the character first introduced in the 2023 Doctor Who Christmas special, The Church on Ruby Road.'

Davies, in the newest issue of the SFX magazine, said,

"There are answers, there are spectacular answers. She's at her finest. And you will see her every single week – she's in every single episode. You won't ever quite know where and when to expect her..."

The showrunner's statement has made a few things very clear. Mrs. Flood is going to be a very important character in the upcoming season of Doctor Who since we'll get to ''see her every single week - she's in every single episode.'' We already know that she had prior knowledge of the TARDIS and said she has plans of her own that she wants to execute. That, along with her appearing in every episode when we least expect her, means she is going to be a focal point of the show.

Will we see Mrs. Flood in the fifteenth season of Doctor Who?

Mrs. Flood, played by Anita Dobson, is a mysterious elderly lady who appeared first in the Doctor Who Christmas special, The Church on Ruby Road, in 2023. She is about to be a regular on the season 15 episodes.

When first introduced, she seemed like a normal yet eccentric elderly woman who knew about the happenings of her neighborhood. But gradually, we discover that she knows about TARDIS and Doctor Who.

In the eighth episode of the fourteenth season, when she thought she was about to die, Mrs. Flood spoke of her unfinished plans. The storyline, however, does not tell us how Mrs. Flood knows about the TARDIS or reveal what plans she had and if she still has them.

Given the mystery surrounding her character, the most popular theories suggest she's either an old companion or a potential villain. Mrs. Flood has a strange familiarity with the TARDIS and Doctor Who, almost as if she knows them closely. This could either be because she was a companion or because she wants to harm the Doctor.

Mrs. Flood also breaks the fourth wall at times, raising suspicion that she might not be human and thus have unknown powers.

The upcoming season is the second since Disney+ acquired Doctor Who's international broadcasting rights. Russell T Davies was the showrunner from 2005 to 2010 and then again returned in 2023 and is the showrunner for the upcoming season.

It is the second season starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor, Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday, and Varada Sethu as Belinda Chandra. Doctor Who is going to be released on April 12, 2025, on Disney+.
