Rick and Morty Season 8 release date: Everything we know so far
Season 7 of Rick and Morty featured many important moments in the show, with one of the most significant moments being a rare moment of self-reflection, where the sardonic Rick realizes that he needs to embrace his current reality rather than chase the memories of his late wife. His grandson, the anxious Morty, on the other hand, contemplates what life would be like if he did not center it around his grandfather.
While Season 7 ended on a relatively heavier note, it also created the ground for the show to return to its lighthearted nature in future seasons. Season 7 closed two major storyline arcs for both of the leading characters, solidifying the base for the Sanchez family to return to their chaotic adventures in Season 8.
Speaking about the upcoming season, Michael Ouweleen, President of Adult Swim, suggested that viewers get ready for yet another season of great television.
"We hope you enjoyed our theater interpretations of ‘Rick and Morty,’ especially if you are well-off/impulsive and now want to back a Broadway version of the show. For the rest of you, we’re glad you now know when Season Eight is starting so you have time to stretch and get loose because the team has yet again made a totally great season of television."
