The fifth episode of The Challenge 40 featured castmates Emily Schromm and Chris "CT" Tamburello's elimination. It was released on September 18, 2024, after which the show's Instagram account revealed footage that did not make the final cut.
The clip contains a "deleted scene" and features The Challenge 40 stars Chris "CT" Tamburello and Theo Campbell in an intense fight. It was captioned with, "CT and Theo get into it on the (demon) bus."
While the exact timings of the clip are not yet sure, it features many of the current cast mates in the "demon" bus ride. It started after Theo placed his feet up on the seat in front of him, where CT was sitting.
Fellow The Challenge 40 star Nehemiah Clark shares in a confessional,
"Bus rides are normally my time to just be peace, just be zen. Chill out. Stare out the window. Look at the scenery. But not today. This is a demon bus that I am on."
The Challenge: Unseen "intense" argument between Theo and CT in a "deleted" scene
On September 20, The Challenge's IG account shared a clip featuring participants on a bus ride. After seeing Theo sitting with his feet up on the seat in front of him, CT verbally argued with Theo.
"Theo notoriously puts his feet up in the seat in front of him, on every single bus ride. Well, not tonight, because CT's sitting in the back seat, and he decides, he's had it," confessed Rachel Robinson.
The clip further shows heated arguments between CT and Theo. Many players gathered around the two to prevent the situation from escalating further.
"You got permission to stand up?" yelled CT.
CT also told Theo that he sat like a "little baby" and repeatedly asked, "What?"
"What? What? I'm right here, you little b****!" yelled CT at Theo.
The clip also features confessions from participants on that "demon bus" ride.
"It's been little while since we've seen CT. Lot of people actually questioning whether or not this CT actually still exists. Let me assure folks, yes it does. Okay. The tiger never loses its stripes, or is that a zebra?" confessed Johnny Bananas.
Later on, Theo could also be seen in a confessional, where he shared,
"I’m not really scared of CT, so I'm gonna let him do his thing and show everyone who CT is and still has that dog in him. If I have to be on the receiving end of that, then do your thing, G."
The clip further shows CT "giggling" and joking with Nehemiah Clark, sitting beside him on the bus.
"CT Pro Tip: Sometimes on The Challenge, you have to just be intimidating. You have to be able to adapt and pivot; it changes the course in a moment's notice," confessed CT.
CT told Nehemiah that "that moment" would "live so rent-free" in (Theo's) head as they giggled and laughed.
