Shark Tank fame investor Kevin O'Leary has an ambitious plan for the social media app, TikTok. He wants to "democratize" the platform and "allow people to invest," in order to make TikTok great again. While the Supreme Court's verdict will ultimately decide the future of the app, O'Leary is making his perspective heard through different mediums.

Kevin O'Leary's commitment toward the app has been talk of the town. On Instagram, news platforms, and interviews, the Canadian venture investor has time and again expressed his views on reviving the app. In a brief talk with Fox Business, O'Leary, who is known as Mr Wonderful on Shark Tank, discussed his plans on how to make the app "Wonderful" with the help of the masses.

He urged the public to join him in the mission during an appearance on Fox Business, on January 10, 2025, noting that he believed the first step would be to make TikTok accessible to everyone again, and eliminating the threat of "Chinese spyware" along the way. He remarked:

"We'd like to get it past 200 million and that means we've got to get everybody back that doesn't trust it. The way to do that is to democratize it and allow people to invest beside us."
"This is not about free speech. It's about Chinese spyware and democratizing the platform. It's time to make TikTok WONDERFUL again."

Here is how Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary is planning to make TikTok great again

Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary is known for his bold takes and no-nonsense approach, which is exactly how he plans to take over TikTok. The Canadian Venture Investor shared a clip of his interview with Fox Business on Instagram, to make his followers aware of how they can join in to be a part of saving TikTok and make it a way to earn.

He presented a plan where he wants the users to be stakeholders of the data so that they can decide what they want to share. O'Leary wishes to bring the public on board as investors, too, by setting up a site named wonderful.tiktok.com, where they can register their interest. He added:

"Become our partner and get paid for that. So all of a sudden, all these users find a very sticky platform that's democratic, that's secure, and they get paid."

Shark Tank Season 16 is available on ABC.
