Netflix’s popular show, Love is Blind UK Season 1, concluded on August 21, 2024. A week after the show ended, a special reunion episode was shot. The finale episodes and the reunion revealed which couples were together and also the ones who had ended their connections.

One of the couples on Love is Blind UK was Ollie and Demi, who almost got married on the show before the latter refused to say, "I do" at the altar. Since then, Ollie and Demi have parted ways and are no longer together.

Ollie Sutherland recently shared his thoughts on a podcast with Jessie Woo, released on August 26, 2024. Shedding light on how he didn’t expect to make a connection with anyone on the show, Ollie shared,

"I went in there thinking like, “I doubt I’m gonna fall in love in the pods. I doubt I’m even gonna like, have a crush on someone in the pods. I doubt even I’m going to feel anything in the pods. But let’s just go. It’ll be fun regardless of whatever happens happens, and then Demi kind of took me by surprise."

Love is Blind UK star Ollie Sutherland recalls his time on the show and how he got into it

Ollie’s recent appearance on Jess A Couple Things podcast with Jessie Woo featured many things from his time on the social experiment, including his connection with Demi, how he made other connections that weren’t showcased in the final cut, and more.

Ollie spoke about many things, including how he initially didn’t apply to be on the show but eventually agreed.

Ollie shared that he was approached for a "previous show" by the same production company, whose name he didn’t share. After going through the audition process "a little bit," Ollie wasn’t interested.

"So that only reason they got in touch with me is because they still have my number, and they hit me up saying, "Oh, we’re now doing Love is Blind. Are you interested?" and I was like, "Maybe." "

Later, he somehow agreed to go with the show:

"I’ve said no to so many things in life, not just like TV opportunities but just things in general, and I thought, "Life begins when you start saying yes" and I thought, "Let’s go for it and see what happens.""

The host, Jessie Woo, asked whether Ollie went into the experiment hoping he would make a connection and "ride that connection off into marital sunset."

Love is Blind UK star mentioned that he didn’t expect to feel anything, and during the show's early stages, he was "just messing around" with the boys.

"That’s just who I am. I’m a Class Clown, and I was that. I let into that I wasn’t going to be anyone but myself. And then before you know it, you’re kind of like going to bed at night thinking like, “I want to speak to Demi tomorrow. I Want to speak to Demi tomorrow,” and it really does creep up on you, those feelings, and that’s just me being real,” shared Ollie.

Later in the podcast, Ollie shared more about his connections with Catherine and Sharlotte on the show. Ollie said that not everything was depicted in the final version.
