Matt Murdock has finally returned in Daredevil: Born Again, and so has his co-star Deborah Ann Woll. The original Netflix show brought Woll aboard as Karen Page, whose story starts as a scared woman entangled in a conspiracy.
But soon after bonding with Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson, Karen becomes a bold and independent investigator. She develops a strong relationship with Matt and Foggy, and this is also evident in the first scene of Daredevil: Born Again.
Karen Page is not only Matt's friend but also a prominent member of his law firm. She has gone out of her way to put herself in harm's way to find justice, and uncovering the truth about Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) is one of the best examples.
Actress Deborah Ann Woll, who portrayed Karen Page, recently spoke about reprising her role and how it was to film the Marvel series. Per Entertainment Weekly, the Daredevil: Born Again star said:
"I've been through a roller coaster of feelings... The thing to always remember is that even if something might feel personal, it's just not. This business is too enormous for anything to be personal..."
In the beginning, Deborah Ann Woll was not invited to the project, and she was a bit disheartened. But the actress stressed that though it seems personal, the industry is huge, and there cannot be that kind of selectivity.

Deborah Ann Woll talks about returning as Karen Page in Daredevil: Born Again
The first two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again are out, and fans got exactly what they needed to watch in the opening scene: Matt, Karen, and Foggy hanging out after work. However, this wasn't always the plan as the makers initially didn't plan to include Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson.
As mentioned before, Woll talked about the Marvel series and also shed light on Marvel calling her and Henson back. The actress said:
"It's so rare for something to come back in a significant way after so many years. So being asked back after the fact was just icing on the cake."
The Daredevil: Born Again star lauded her co-stars of the Netflix series and also mentioned that it’s rare for a show to come back in a significant way after many years. Deborah Ann Woll also talked about the heartbreaking demise of Foggy in the premiere, explaining that actors feel the loss in two ways:
"For actors, we lose on two levels: We lose the character that we love watching and we don't get to work with that actor again necessarily."
Woll prepared for the scene by thinking about Karen and Foggy’s close bond for an authentic portrayal. Now that Foggy's dead, the loss will stay with Matt and Karen for a long time.
