With each passing day, fans are getting close to watching Charlie Cox back in his iconic role in Daredevil: Born Again TV series. While the events in the upcoming show will take place after the Daredevil Season 3 finale, it isn't entirely following the previous gritty tone.
Instead, Daredevil: Born Again goes beyond the violence featured in the original show. Not only this, but showrunner Dario Scardapane also teased an action scene that goes beyond what the Netflix series has ever done. Per SFX Magazine, the Scardapane said:
"[Daredevil: Born Again is] straight out bat-shit and way farther past anything ‘DAREDEVIL’ ever did, and it's absolutely earned."
The showrunner hinted at an extremely chaotic scene, likely involving Matt Murdock as Daredevil. Interestingly, the trailer also featured Wilson Fisk teasing chaos and destruction, as now he has more power and knows much about Murdock being a vigilante.

Daredevil: Born Again to feature the most violent action sequence
Marvel enthusiasts often crave action-packed and gritty sequences in their favorite series, especially when it's about Charlie Cox's Daredevil. The Marvel character debuted on our screens in Cox's Daredevil Season 1 in 2015. Since then, Matt Murdock has been recognized as a standout vigilante who's set to return in Daredevil: Born Again.
As mentioned above, showrunner Dario Scardapane opened up about his show in a conversation with SFX Magazine, in which he praised the Netflix series and also mentioned that Daredevil: Born Again is dark and leans more into a New York crime story style. He said:
"It has a pace and a scope that, for a lot of reasons, Netflix wasn't able to do. They were very dark, cinematically, not necessarily story-wise, although there were some dark elements. We're much darker."
Scardapane was aware of the character's story as he has previously worked in The Punisher and was able to make the upcoming show even more intense. As seen in the trailer, a retired Matt Murdock will dive back into action when Fisk resurfaces to wreak havoc on Hell’s Kitchen.

As for the show's place in the MCU, it remains a part of the superhero universe, but the showrunner preferred to maintain a sense of independence for Cox's character. While the show brings back all key figures from the previous show, including Murdock's best friends and Fisk's wife, it will also feature a villainous artist, Muse.
Interestingly, he isn't the only new addition in the upcoming sequel, as there are a few more characters like White Tiger alongside Murdock.
