While Daredevil: Born Again is still a week away from its streaming debut, some in the press were able to access the first two episodes of the gritty Marvel show. The show continues the story from the Netflix series and has impressed critics. These positive reactions have fans excited and pumped for March 4, 2025, when the first two episodes of the series will be released on Disney+.

For now, we know the release dates for the first six episodes of Born Again, but those for episodes 7, 8, and 9 remain unknown. The nine-episode-long Daredevil: Born Again will follow Matt Murdock as he adjusts to a new world as Wilson Fisk becomes the new mayor of New York City. Both Fisk and Matt have to bring down a new serial killer, Muse, who is terrorizing New Yorkers in the most sadistic way.

First reactions to Daredevil: Born Again explained:

The first two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again were screened for members of the press. Those who attended gave glowing reviews of what they saw on the screen. The review embargo is still up; it's just that the social media embargo has been lifted. Here are some of the countless reactions across social media:

  • The managing editor of Cinema Blend, Sean O’Connell wrote this:
"Holy Hell’s Kitchen! #DaredevilBornAgain opens with a lengthy, devastating sequence that screams, “This is just as brutal as Netflix.” From there, the 2 episodes lay out a layered story about cops, vigilantes, and guilt. Read DEVIL’S REIGN as a refresh. Off to a GREAT start!"
"#DaredevilBornAgain has the best pilot of any MCU series thus far, and it’s not close. Edge of seat energy w/ audible gasps throughout. Charlie & Vincent haven’t lost a step, Benson & Moorhead bring the sauce. Above all else, it’s EPISODIC. We *might* be back. @screenrant"
  • Fandango's Erik Davis was appreciative of what he saw, much like O’Connell and Crowley before him. Called described the first two episodes as one of Marvel Television's strongest entries. He particularly pointed at a one-shot fight scene in the first episode that memorably sets up the rest of the series.

These words have left fans with bated breath for the second season which will begin filming in New York soon. Marvel Studio's Head of Streaming, Brad Winderbaum told Screen Rant about the plans after season 1. He said:

"Season 2 will come out next year, and then hopefully season 3 and season infinity after that. I think this world is extremely rich, and there are many stories to be told on the streets of New York."

Have these social media reactions left you excited for Daredevil: Born Again? Catch the first two episodes on Disney+ on March 4, 2025.
