"Competing against the best version" - The Challenge 40 star Cara Maria appreciates Tori's readiness for the season

The Challenge 40 star Cara Maria gave a tough competition to her fellow cast member Tori Deal during the last elimination task known as The Final Elimination. Both the female contestants made The Challenger host TJ Lavine raise the bar of the completion and make it hard for them at every step as the ladies were determined not to quit.

As it was the last chance to grab a spot in the finale of the show, both Cara and Tori gave their best in the elimination arena. They had to tread in the water for as long as they could, however, Cara Maria was not happy to be going in the waters for the final elimination round. The completion went on for almost 3 hours and it seemed that no one would give up.

However, Cara Maria called it quits and Tori Deal won the last elimination challenge. Cara Maria expressed her thoughts on having Tori Deal as her competitor with Parade Magzine during an interview on December 18, 2024, and mentioned that she witnessed Tori becoming a strong contender as the season passed.

She further appreciated Tori for training hard and putting in the effort to desperately chase the win. She further added:

"She knew the level of women's competition was going to be through the roof, and she put in the work, and it showed. And I was competing against the best version of Tori that has ever competed."

The Challenge 40 star Cara Maria revealed that "It was a win" for her even though she did not make it to the finale

According to The Challenge 40 star, Cara Maria Sorbello, coming this far in the show was no less than a victory. She was just a few challenges away from making it to the winning list but she lost the final elimination challenge to Tori, but with all dignity. During an interview with Parade, she feels that she won because the coming final would have a task with a "boat in the middle of the ocean".

Cara Maria has always pointed out that swimming is not her best suit and she mentioned that she had great female swimmers in the final which would have made her "average Joe" in front of them and she did not want that. She also jokingly mentioned that the finals would have a popularity vote at the end of it and she might not do well in that.

She further concluded her statement by saying:

"I think I did everything I needed to do. And this, and it ended in a very full-circle way, with me and Tori. And I think I'm good."
