After simmering on low heat since its last season, Netflix Chef's Table is finally back with new episodes for food lovers. Just like making a perfect dish, taking time to get things right was important — and now we can enjoy what they've created.

Chef's Table Vol. 7 premieres on November 27, 2024, bringing a menu filled with chefs who turn cooking into art. Among the highlights are Nok Suntaranon, Kwame Onwuachi, Ángel León, and the couple Norma Listman and Saqib Keval, each bringing unique stories and flavors.

The tradition of Chef's Table continues

Chef's Table Vol. 7 keeps doing what it does best—introducing us to chefs who push the envelope and think differently about cooking in today's world. From Thai aromas in Philadelphia to ocean-friendly cooking in Spain, each episode takes us deep into each chef's unique gastronomic universe.

Nok Suntaranon—Southern Thailand in the spotlight

Nok is more than a chef—she is a cultural ambassador. With Kalaya deemed one of the best restaurants in America, she uses her platform to share southern Thailand's stories with the world, with every dish she makes showing her love for her heritage.

Nok brings authentic, bold Thai flavors to life, so it's not surprising that people quickly fell in love with her personal take on Thai food. She's launching a cookbook called Kalaya's Southern Thai Kitchen so you can try to replicate her food at home. Nok is recognized for reinventing traditional dishes while telling stories about her family through food.

Kwame Onwuachi: The impact of Afro-Caribbean heritage in New York

Kwame tells stories through his food. At Tatiana, each dish reminds people of his culture and childhood in the Bronx and San Juan Hill. He's also known for trying to improve the restaurant world, using his visibility to advocate for racial inclusion in the world of gastronomy—an inspiration for a new generation of chefs.

He's written two popular books, My America and Notes from a Young Black Chef, and the second one is being made into a movie. Besides cooking great food, Kwame works hard to make the food world more welcoming for people of all races, helping new chefs follow their dreams. Also, his restaurant was chosen as the best restaurant in New York by the New York Times two years in a row.

Ángel León—Sustainability and innovation in Spanish seas

Known as the "Chef of the Sea," León transforms forgotten ocean ingredients into culinary art. His restaurant Aponiente, with three Michelin stars, is a maritime innovation laboratory that combines science, sustainability, and unique flavors. He works with universities to find new ways to make food that's good for the planet. His love for the ocean shows that cooking can be a powerful tool for environmental preservation.

León believes that the ocean still holds secrets that can revolutionize gastronomy. A pioneer in using plankton as an ingredient, he has reinvented haute cuisine while opening doors for and inspiring a more responsible future for the sector.

Norma Listman and Saqib Keval—Gastronomy as a political act in Mexico City

The couple brings a powerful fusion of Mexican and South Asian cultures, using gastronomy as a justice and community connection tool. They believe in being open about running their business and letting everyone have a say. Their restaurant, Masala y Maiz, also allows new chefs to learn and grow.

Norma and Saqib use food to stand up for what they believe in. Their restaurants combine history and politics, using food to discuss important things like colonization, cultural heritage, and social justice. They also run projects that help local communities and ensure everyone feels welcome in the world of gastronomy.
