Since Netflix's Love is Blind UK concluded on August 21, 2024, various participants from the show have shared their thoughts and insights about their time on the social experiment. Many stars have been featured on various shows and podcasts and shared their sides of what happened on the show.
In a similar incident, Love is Blind UK star Ollie Sutherland, who was engaged to Demi on the show, recently attended a podcast, Jess A Little Things, on August 26, 2024. He discussed his time on the show, including blind dates, the first meeting, fellow participants, couples retreat, and more, with host Jessie Woo.
Fans must remember Ollie and Demi's wedding day when the latter said "no" at the altar and parted ways. Ollie shared that although his connection with Demi ended, his former potential connection on the show, Catherine, is not his type.
"I’m sure they’re, like I said, hundreds if not thousands if not millions of people up and down this country all over the globe. They think she’s (Catherine’s) absolutely stunning, and that’s fine, and that’s as valid as me saying that Demi’s stunning, but she’s just not my type - Cat is not my type," shared Ollie.
Love is Blind UK star Ollie opened up about his former connection: Catherine
Since the reunion episode aired on August 21, 2024, Ollie attended a podcast a few days later and shared how he felt about his former connection with Catherine on the show. The Love is Blind UK star discussed many things besides that, such as how many things that happened on the show didn’t make the final cut, and viewers don’t know about them.
Shedding more light on how Catherine was not his type, Ollie told host Jessie Woo that he was not attracted to his former castmate on the show.
"I was going, "Oh, what have I done," like, I can swear on anything and everything that’s near and dear to me. There was not a single part of me that was attracted to Cat. I thought she was kind of a cool girl up until that point. Things happened later on which kind of maybe changed my mind on that a little, but like there was no physical attraction, no sexual attraction whatsoever."
Ollie also said he didn’t mean that producers "deliberately" did anything that made him look "a certain way." However, he mentioned that they (producers) would "dramatize" it a little, which is why he had to share his side of the story.
"I don’t think they deliberately try to make me look a certain way. I’ve got all love and respect for the producers, but yeah, as you said, they’re gonna dramatize it a little bit, and I’ve got to speak on this because people gonna think this is bullshit, but it’s genuinely true."
The Love is Blind UK star also revealed one of his interesting habits. Ollie said that when he is "not really" concentrating, he puts his tongue in the corner of his mouth and doesn’t know why. However, he added that he has stopped since learning about this habit.
