Netflix's latest German sci-fi series, Cassandra, has landed on the platform's Top 10 US charts. The show, which earlier received a perfect score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, now stands tall at Number 9 on Netflix's streaming charts.

While there are many shows like The Snow Girl and Black Doves, which earlier received a perfect score on RT, this is an achievement for a non-English series like Cassandra.

Earlier, in 2025, shows like American Primeval ruled the Netflix charts, and now, this German series has entered the club. The show debuted on February 6, 2025, and quickly made its place on the streaming platform.

Recently, German shows have emerged triumphant on Netflix, with the time-travel series Dark, which ran for three seasons, and the historical show The Empress. American audiences have taken a liking to quality German-language shows.

The show follows the Prill family, who move into a retro-based home, where they are greeted by an AI home system from the 1970s, who eventually become controlling and manipulative towards the family members.

As the story progresses, viewers learn the truth about the AI home system, which was once a human woman and now wants to control the Prill family and make them her own. The finale was an epic showdown between the AI home system and Samira, where the latter made Cassandra remember her motherly side and reunited her with her daughter's remains.

While the series ends with the AI robot burning down the house and leaving with her daughter, it does have scope for Season 2. Netflix has not yet renewed the series for another season, but considering its popularity on the platform, fans might get another season that would expand on the AI robot's lore.

The show has an ensemble cast of Lavinia Wilson, Michael Klammer, Mary Tölle, Mina Tander, Franz Hartwig, Joshua Kantara, and Elias Grünthal.

The German sci-fi series is now available to stream on Netflix.
