Tiana was a highly anticipated Disney+ series based on Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. Announced in 2020, the program promises to go more into Tiana's life following the events of the film, with Anika Noni Rose reprising her role.

Unfortunately, Disney just scrapped the project. Fans have expressed anger with this choice. This is particularly given Tiana's cultural importance as Disney's first Black princess and the potential to develop her character further.

Concerning this, even Anika Noni Rose, who voices Tiana, has expressed her feelings by posting on Instagram. She encouraged people to see the forthcoming Tiana Special Event and share the news to demonstrate their continuous support.
