'Can't be with you"- 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days Sunny asks Veah to think about "converting"

90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days couple Veah and Sunny surpassed all the roadblocks and got engaged to each other during their Drakensberg trip. The couple was going through some serious issues as far as their relationship was concerned. Firstly, when Veah visited South Africa, she was accompanied by her ex, Rory, which caused a tussle between the couple.

After they were able to get past that, Sunny's religious beliefs acted as a hindrance. Even when Veah made an effort to come all the way to South Africa to spend time with her long-distance partner, Sunny did not introduce her immediately to his family. He expressed that his family is a little conservative, and he wanted to wait for the right time to let her into his world.

When Veah met Sunny's father for the first time, she made an effort to dress according to Sunny's beliefs which impressed his father. However, the meeting did not go as planned because he asked her to "convert to Islam" if she wanted to marry Sunny. He even objected to Veah's tattoo and asked her to get it removed.

After the meeting with Sunny's father went downhill, Sunny was upset and wanted Veah to understand his religious beliefs. During episode 17, Sunny adamantly asks Veah to "convert," emphasizing that it could create a problem in their relationship if she doesn't. He told Veah:

"If we are together, you have to change your religion. You have to."

Veah replied that she "can't be Muslim," to which Sunny reverted:

"If you can't accept my religion, I can't be with You."

After meeting Sunny's father, Veah made it clear that she was not ready to convert to Islam, and it made Sunny upset. However, in the latest episode of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days, Sunny tried to mend things and spend some quality time before leaving Drakensberg.

He was afraid that Veah's decision to not convert would not be liked by his family and mentioned during a confessional:

"Over the past few days I've been thinking a lot about my relationship with Veah. There are so many things that is working against of us. Knowing that she is never going to change her religion I would have to sacrifice my family because they're never going to accept her."

However, Sunny showed courage and proposed to Veah during their trip. The couple got engaged, and the coming episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days will reveal how Sunny's father will respond to it.
