The Voice is currently running in its 26th season with Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, and Gwen Stefani as the coaches. The coaches of the singing reality TV show keep on shuffling to bring new energy with a new season. Coaches like Reba, Stefani, and John Legend have repeatedly returned to the show.

However, We Can't Be Friends singer Ariana Grande decided not to come back after her debut season in The Voice, Season 21, which aired in 2021. Ariana was accompanied by other great names in the industry, including Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Blake Shelton.

The season became the first and last season for the former coach as she became emotionally invested in the contestants. She explained during a podcast, Las Culturistas with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, that:

"I got so emotionally attached to everyone. That's my problem. I can't really do that because I really get in. I really get in there with everyone. I love everyone so much. I love meeting people, and I've felt so invested."

The Voice's former coach, Ariana Grande, debuted in Season 21

Ariana Grande, the famous American singer, songwriter, and actress, made her debut on the singing reality TV competition series The Voice Season 21 as one of the four coaches replacing Nick Jonas. As Page Six reported at the time in 2021, Ariana was "a huge fan of the show, and her management team has been negotiating to get her on the show for a while."

Ariana Grande was thrilled to join the show as a coach and announced via her Instagram in 2021:

"I’m so honored and excited to join ‘The Voice’ family! I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time. I can’t wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists, and help to take their craft to the next l evel.”

However, the Wicked star did not join back as the coach because it was tough for her to eliminate artists and go through the elimination process because of her heavy emotional investment and attachment to the contestants. As reported by The Thing on November 12, she confessed during the third battle round of season 21 that she would prefer to "quit" and added:

" I am just emotionally very distraught because I love my team so much".

The Voice is airing season 26 currently, and premiered the first Knockout battle round on November 11 at 9 pm EST on NBC
