Recently, he sat down with columnist and podcaster Jules Terpek to have an intense and elaborate discussion about the evolution of the tech industry.

Shark Tank's Mark Cuban discussed the difference between Blue Sky and other social media platforms

In a podcast hosted by Jules Terpek, Mark Cuban from Shark Tank talks about Blue Sky, a decentralized social media platform, and what makes it different from other platforms, such as Twitter (now X). When Terpek tries to understand how the platform works without an existing algorithm and if it has bots, Mark throws light on how the application works.

"First, there are some bots but minimal. And here's the biggest difference between their platform and everybody else. One, it's old-school chronological for people you follow. That's big. You can create different types of lists and everything and because it's extensible, right, you can code in and around it. You can even create your own algorithm."

The Shark Tank investor continues to talk about how the platform offers complete control of its posts, blocked people, and more.

"There's no for-you page. There's a discover page, so by default you see who you follow. Number two, and this is the Holy Grail, there's a hide for everyone and there's block that really works. So what that means is you truly own your threads . So when you post everything that follows underneath, even the quote replies, you have complete control over."

The expert from Shark Tank then compares the privacy control on Blue Sky and Twitter and points out how X still lacks complete control when it comes to providing a user with complete control.

"Twitter the Block's not really a block... they just can't which encourages trolls and stalkers and everything. You don't have that on Blue Sky. The question becomes how do you build engagement and why do you have these followers."

He also talks about a few more features of Blue Sky that other platforms lack,

"When you engage with people and you start having conversations and people see you're having conversations and they see what topics you'd like to talk about are, then that's a self-fulfilling prophecy. That's what's made it work so well."
"And if I want to tell people about a bunch of Mavs fans they should follow, they have these things called starter packs and I can just include all Mavs fans or all Mavs media (in one) ...A starter pack is here's who you should follow with just one click."

He said as he mentioned the "Starter packs" feature of the platform.
