BTS j-hope comes across Lee Jung-Jae from Squid Game; dear diary moment at Le Gala des Pieces Jaunes

Attention K-pop (BTS) and K-drama fans (Squid Game)! You are in for a treat as BigHit has recently released the BTS of j-hope in Le Gala des Pieces Jaunes 2025 on YouTube. At the 8:20 mark of the video, BTS's j-hope and Squid Games' icon Lee Jung-jae shared a heartwarming encounter where both the stars praised each other's craft.

The prestigious charity event Le Gala des Pieces Jaunes was held in Paris on February 1, 2025, and featured some of the biggest stars in entertainment. The video uploaded to BangtanTV shows j-hope's journey from the intense rehearsals to his star-studded finale day performance.

In less than a 15-minute behind-the-scenes video, we see j-hope's interaction with prominent people, including soccer stars like PSG's Lee Kang to the First Lady of France, Brigitte Macron to BigBang's G-Dragon, and Taeyang.

What caught the eye of several K-pop and K-drama fans is j-hope's encounter with Squid Games' star Lee Jung-jae. As j-hope gets ready for his final day performance backstage, he is greeted by Lee Jung-jae, who shares a handshake with the "Chicken Noodle Soup" singer and rapper.

Lee Jung-jae compliments j-hope as he says,

"I heard that your rehearsal was great, too."

To which j-hope blushes and humbly responds,

"I always do my best during rehearsals."

Lee Jung-jae drops another compliment, "You're different," as j-hope responds, "I'm flattered."

j-hope also complimented Lee Jung-jae as he proceeded to say,

"I love Squid Games, too. I really enjoyed it."

The humble yet heartwarming interaction between the two icons has left fans in for a weekend treat.

j-hope is currently getting ready for his first-ever solo world tour called Hope on Stage, starting February 28, 2025, in Seoul, and will also be releasing a digital single in March. Lee Jung-jae is reportedly in talks about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Meanwhile, Netflix has released the first posters of Squid Games Season 3, which is all set to release on June 27, 2025.

The South Korean star did not just meet the BTS' j-hope but also other international celebrities who attended the Le Gala des Pieces Jaunes. He met K-pop stars like BLACKPINK's Rose and BIGBANG's G-Dragon. In a cute video he shared, Rose sweetly called Le Jang-jae Daebak, which translates to awesome. The Squid Game actor also shared a fun moment with G-Dragon.

Lee Jung-jae also met John Legend, Katy Perry, French President Emmanuel Macron, and the First Lady. Apart from that, he also shared some performances of the eventful night on his Instagram.
