With fans getting increasingly excited about Dexter: Resurrection, Bryan Lillis of Promising Young Woman fame has been slated to join the stellar cast in an enigmatic guest appearance, according to Variety. Dexter: Resurrection has been confirmed for a summer 2025 release and will be a sequel to the events of Dexter: New Blood.
Michael C. Hall will resume his role as the titular character, and this time, he will be joined by many powerful faces in the industry, both familiar and new to the storyline of the Dexter series.
According to Variety, Bryan Lillis is cast as Ryan, a guest who is staying at the Empire Hotel. Lillis joins a stellar cast of guest appearances in this series, including the likes of Neil Patrick Harris, David Dastmalchian, Eric Stonestreet, and many more.
Bryan Lillis is well known for the roles he played in several popular movies like Promising Young Woman and shows like NCIS: Los Angeles, and Shining Vale.
Dexter: Resurrection will take off from where Dexter: New Blood ended
The plot for Dexter: Resurrection will pick up from where the storyline of Dexter: New Blood ended. The titular character will be played by Michael C. Hall, and several other fan favorites like David Zayas and Jack Alcott will resume their roles in the show.
However, fans of the series will also see many new faces this time, including the likes of Peter Dinklage and Uma Thurman.
Dexter: New Blood was a limited series with 10 episodes showing how Dexter lived under an alias in upstate New York - ten years after he faked his own death in Miami in the setting of the original Dexter. However, as the storyline progresses, his past eventually catches up to him.
