Over the years, Taylor Sheridan has been associated with some of the biggest shows in recent memory, Landman being among them. The first season of the hit show recently concluded with a riveting finale, and fans of the show are anticipating the release of the second installment with bated breath.

Landman producer and actor Billy Bob Thornton recently spoke to Variety magazine, during which he revealed that creator Taylor Sheridan supposedly had big plans for the second installment of the Paramount+ show.

Thornton teased the probable second season of Landman in an interview with Variety magazine, where he commented:

"There is a lot more story left to tell with Cami. Taylor has big plans, that’s all I’m going to say."

Landman is a thriller that takes a closer look at the oil industry in West Texas, where prospectors and oil company kingpins wrestle it out among themselves, vying for ultimate domination in the region. As the lead character, Billy Bob Thornton's Tommy Norris tries his best to navigate through the ensuing crisis and emerge on top of things once again.

The first season of Landman ended on a high note with the character of Monty Miller, played by Mad Men star Jon Hamm lying on his death bed. This eventually creates a vaccum of power and leaves the field open for Norris to take the mega oil-man's seat.

Jon Hamm spoke in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter and sprinkled a few details about the show's upcoming second season. Here's everything we know.

What did Jon Hamm say about Landman season 2?

Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jon Hamm dropped a few revealing details about the tone and structure that might come to bear on the second season of the Paramount+ show. Speaking about what the future holds for his collaboration with Sheridan, Hamm commented:

"I really have nothing geared up for that answer, but I do love Taylor and working for him. It was a great experience. We truly had a great group of people working on the show and that extends to the crew and everyone else. Just a spectacular group of people, and we made a great show. People really like it. That’s pretty much all you can hope for in the world of stuff like this. You think, well this is a once in a lifetime kind of deal but even so, you pinch yourself when you get the opportunity to do something like that."

Hamm also took the occassion to reveal the reason behind his decision to join the cast of the show. He revealed:

"I’m very happy that they asked me to do this, but I’ll tell you exactly what it was — it was the ability to work with Taylor (Sheridan) and Billy Bob (Thornton). Those are guys whose careers I’ve been really paying attention to. They’re just working at the top of their game. I knew the show was going to be good; I didn’t know it was really going to spark in the culture the way it has, and that part of it is even better. It’s always fun to be a part of the conversation when you’re in something that people really respond to. I’ve had that on a couple of occasions."

Landman season one is available on Paramount+. The show has received love from fans as well as critical acclaim.
