"Bi-erasure is not the answer"- The Challenge star Paulie Calafiore comments on Cara Mara controversy 

The Challenge star Cara Maria Sorbello has got caught between a rock and a hard place with her recent "LGB" remark. She went on an Instagram rant, disclosing that during the recent 2024 US Presidential election, she voted for Donald Trump. While voting for any candidate is her personal choice, she got into hot waters when she called "LGBTQI+" as just "LGB", citing that she is bisexual.

Many, including fans, fellow The Challenge co-stars, and "LGBTQI+" people rallied against Cara Maria for being one from the community and still undermining the presence of trans, queer, and other aspects of it. Cara went on a long Pro-MAGA rant tagging an Instagram user, @educatedlatina, and called herself "left of the centre".

In the aforementioned Instagram comment, she also dragged a fellow co-star, Paulie Calafiore, saying:

"I am done being harassed. I have a lot of views on both sides. But the left has gotten way too extreme. I AM lgb AND SO IS PAULIE."

The Challenge star Paulie Calafiore has now taken to Twitter, now known as X, to clarify his stand, and he thinks about Cara Maria's comment. He wrote in the post:

"I want to make it clear I am part of the LGBTQ community. There is no LGB without T, the demo that literally physically rioted to get any rights in the first place. They’re strong and resilient mother fuckers and I will always have backs of those who need their voices heard. Bi- erasure is not the answer, obviously neither is erasing trans people. I support and will fight for you."

To put things into perspective for our readers, in 2023, Cara Maria and Paulie Calafiore, who were dating at that point, came out as bisexual and were playing to enter the nuptial ceremony. Calafiore admitted during an interview with US Weekly in 2023 about their wedding plans and said:

"We definitely want kids and we want marriage."

The couple's relationship status is blurred right, and as of August 2024, there were no clear facts on whether they are together or not. However, a source exclusively told US Weekly in August 2024, that Cara and Paulie were "taking things slow and being very private".

After Cara Maria tagged along with Paulie as well on her Pro-MAGA rant and claimed that they both as just "LGB", the latter clarified on X that he supports the whole LGBTQI+ community, and stands with them. The fans commented under his post about getting on the same page with Cara and putting some sense into her.
