Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary has come up with an interesting lens to view the new tariffs — a tax on imports set to be introduced by the 47th President of the United States of America, Donald Trump.

For a little perspective, a few days ago, Donald Trump announced to put in effect new tariffs on China along with Canada and Mexico. Both Canada and Mexico have a 30-day extension after committing to strengthen their border security to avoid the 25% tariff announced by the President.

In a recent interview with Fox News, chiming in about the same, the ever-vocal and politically active Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary expressed how there is "There is no love lost between Trudeau, Freeland and Donald Trump." He furthered the conversation by adding that the situation had gotten worse. But Kevin O'Leary is holding on to his positive instincts.

Rather than seeing this as the endgame for the Canadians and investors, he is looking at the bright side, calling it an "opportunity" and a stage for "negotiation." He remarked in the interview:

"I look at this at the beginning of a negotiation, and I've always said to everybody on both sides because I'm kind of in a unique situation."

Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary bets his odds on US-Canada economic union despite the chaos caused by the new tariffs

Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary has kept his Mr. Wondeful vibe on point when talking about the new tariffs set to be imposed on Canada by President Trump. He is looking forward to a US-Canada economic, considering that the Canadian government has gone on its knees, failing to strike a negotiation on tariff imposition.

However, he is certain that there is still hope, and as an investor, he has his interest vested on both sides of the border. He remarked that he is Canadian, but his entire family is American, emphasizing that the chaos can be dealt with with effective efforts. He cited the example of Alberta Premiere, Danielle Smith, who extended a hand of negotiation to President Trump at Mar-a-lago.

Kevin O'Leary was also part of the meeting convened by Danille Smith alongside President Trump, where Smith "plead her case about the importance of the relationship on the energy of The US." He credited Danielle Smith for striking a deal at a 10% tariff instead of 25%, which presents the perfect example of economic union according to the Shark.

Shark Tank Season 16 airs on Fridays at 8:00 pm ET on ABC.
