As filming of the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series Lucky is underway, the show has cast William Fitchner and Eric Lange in major roles. As Deadline reports, both are cast in recurring roles, but the names of their characters are yet to be revealed.
Information about the show is gradually being released. All we know is that the show is currently being filmed in LA and Las Vegas and is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Marissa Stapley. It was created for television by Jonathan Tropper. Anna Taylor-Joy is the protagonist and an executive producer on the show.
Taylor-Joy is known for playing complex characters like Beth Harmon in The Queen's Gambit and Margot in The Menu. It looks like her new role is as challenging as her past ones. Anna plays a young woman who was raised in an environment filled with crime but has left that life. Lucky will tell us the story of her having to go back to the dangerous past to completely be free of it. To do so, she has to get into the shoes of her criminal self for one last time.

Fitchner is best known for his performances on The Dark Knight and Prison Break, and Mom. He is also set to appear in a few other projects. Fans of Fitchner will be seeing him in the second season of Beef and Anne Rice’s The Talamasca.
Eric Lange, best known for Narcos and Victorious, will be seen in a few other upcoming projects. He is part of the main cast of the upcoming comic-thriller series El Gato. Another Apple TV+ series in which he will be seen as a recurring character is the sci-fi thriller series Invasion Season 3. Lange is also set to appear in MCU’s Thunderbolts* which is releasing on 2nd May 2025.
The series will star Anna Taylor-Joy as Lucky, Annette Bening as Priscilla, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor as Agent Billie Rand, and Timothy Olyphant as John, Lucky's father, as the main cast. The recurring cast includes William Fichtner and Eric Lange in roles yet to be announced, Drew Starkey as Cary, Lucky's husband, Clifton Collins Jr. as Dutch, and Mo McRae as Agent Eli Gates.
Ladykiller, Anna Taylor-Joy's production banner, will be one of the companies that will be executive producing the limited series with Anna as the executive producing. Hello Sunshine, a part of Candle Media, will be the other company executive producing with Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter as executive producers.
While production for Lucky has started, it is not known when the limited series will be released on Apple TV+. Hopefully, more information will be released gradually.
