A new Yellowstone spin-off is underway as Luke Grimes is set to lead the cast: Reports 

It has happened again! Another Yellowstone spin-off starring Luke Grimes is confirmed, according to AOL.

The series will be a spin-off to Grimes' Kayce Dutton, one of John Dutton's children and a main cast through all five seasons of the original show.

While no further information about the upcoming spin-off is confirmed, it will center around Grimes' Kayce Dutton. After the Yellowstone Season 5 finale, Sheridan also announced a Beth-Rip spin-off, where actors Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser will reprise their respective characters.

In the Season 5 finale, Kayce finally fulfilled the ranch prophecy and sold their family ranch back to the natives at the original price. He also made a deal with Thomas Rainwater, where the east camp of the ranch was left out of the deal, and Kayce moved there with his family, Monica and Tate.

Grimes to reprise his Yellowstone role for a new spin-off

It looks like Taylor Sheridan is passionate about expanding on the Dutton lineage and exploring the generations as they came and settled on the iconic and titular ranch. Earlier, Sheridan expanded the show's universe with two spin-offs, 1883 and 1923, set before the events of the parent show.

The spin-offs have helped chart out the Dutton lineage and added to the show's richness. Another spin-off, The Madison, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Fox, is also in the works.

Since nothing is confirmed about Grimes' spin-off, one cannot speculate whether the new series will serve as a prequel or sequel to the parent series. If the show will explore Kayce's life after the Season 5 finale, actors Kelsey Asbille and Brecken Merrill might also reprise their respective characters as Kayce's family.

Exploring Kayce's formative years before the events of Yellowstone is also a good opportunity, as the parent show expanded little on the character's formative journey.

Kayce Dutton was a part of the Navy SEALs, which is a good premise for the show and might also bring a new layer to the character. It would be interesting to see his journey of becoming what we saw in the original series.

While Yellowstone's other spin-off, 1883, wrapped up, 1923 is currently in its final season.

Fans eagerly await to see how Sheridan will expand his Yellowstone lore now that Kayce's spin-off series is reported.
