Here's everything we know about Prime Video's Carrie 10-episode long TV show by Mike Flanagan.
Key Details Revealed about Prime Video's Carrie TV Show
Vernon Sanders, the head of television for Amazon MGM Studios, talked about Mike Flanagan's reimagination of Stephen King's Carrie
"'Carrie' is an iconic story that has withstood the test of time with continued cultural relevance. With Mike Flanagan at the helm and the accomplished team assembled including executive producer Trevor Macy this provocative series is sure to captivate our global customers."

Amazon has ordered 8 episodes for this iconic adaptation project, and a writers' room was set up in late fall 2024. Along with being the creator, writer, showrunner, and executive producer, Mike Flanagan will also be directing a few episodes for the show. Trevor Macy is also an executive producer on this 10-episode project by Amazon MGM.
One of the influential voices in the horror scene, Mike Flanagan, is leading this adaptation, which is described as
"A bold and timely reimagining of the story of misfit high-schooler Carrie White (Howell), who has spent her life in seclusion with her domineering mother. After her father’s sudden and untimely death, Carrie finds herself contending with the alien landscape of public High School, a bullying scandal that shatters her community, and the emergence of mysterious telekinetic powers."
The female-led adaptation has also been quietly casting the major roles in the show. Summer H. Howell, from Hunter Hunter (2020) and Spirit in the Blood (2024), is reportedly in negotiation for the titular character, Carrie White. Siena Agudong from Resident Evil (2022) and No Good Nick (2019) has already been cast as Sue Snell, the titular character's nemesis.
Since Amazon's acquisition of MGM, Carrie is one of the many MGM movie titles that Prime Video has been exploiting, including but not limited to Legally Blonde and Poltergeist. Prime Video also announced a prequel series to the first Legally Blonde movie starring Reese Witherspoon titled Elle, with Lexi Minetree as the younger version of Witherspoon's Elle.
