ABC recently premiered and aired the first episode of Dancing With the Stars Season 33 on September 17, 2024. The dance reality show features participants from diverse backgrounds dancing out the competition with their "pro" dancing partners.
The premiere episode of Dancing With the Stars saw some spectacular performances. It included dance acts from Chandler Kinney (actress), Dwight Howard (former basketball pro), and Stephen Nedoroscik (Olympian.)
Fans might already know Chandler Kinney of Pretty Little Liars, who entered DWTS 33 with her dance partner, Brandon Armstrong. The duo received the highest scores in the show's first episode, i.e., 23 out of 30. Chandler took to Instagram and shared her excitement with all her fans as she shared,

Chandler Kinney's first performance on Dancing With the Stars Season 33: Details explored

For their debut performance on the premiere night, Chandler and Brandon's performance was Tango, and they performed on Hot to Go! from Chappel Roan. Their first performance on the dance reality show earned the duo a score of 23. It was the highest score of the episode.
They received a perfect score of "8" from two judges, which doesn't happen that often. One of the judges, Carrie Ann, also shared that the duo's performance on the premiere night,
"Set the standard for season 33."
Judge Bruno Tonioli said that Chandler's performance was "one of the best," while Derek Hough shared that Chandler was a "superstar." To support Chandler, her Pretty Little Liars co-stars, including Malia Pyles, Zaria, Bailee Madison, and Jordan Gonzalez, cheered for her in the audience.
Close to Chandler's score, next was Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach, who scored 22 out of 30. For 21, there was a tie between Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson and Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold. Additionally, Danny Amendola and Witney Carson also received a score of 20.
Additionally, as the Dancing With the Stars debut episode further revealed, there was no elimination. However, the next episode of the dancing show will feature a "double elimination."
