9-1-1 & Doctor Odyssey crossover has Athena deal with yet another mid-sea disaster 

Both 9-1-1 and Doctor Odyssey are two popular universes on ABC and both of them have been created by Ryan Murphy. In a much-anticipated crossover between 9-1-1 and Doctor Odyssey, Athena Grant once again set forth on a misadventure that involved the high seas and reminded her of the last disaster that involved her venturing out into the waters.

While Athena succeeded in her attempt to prevent the criminal she was after from boarding the cruise ship, she herself stepped on board to track and retrieve the criminal's luggage that had been brought into the ship's storage.

It's casino week on the 9-1-1 and Doctor Odyssey crossover

Athena came onboard the cruise ship to get a hold of the criminal's luggage. In her attempt to find further evidence, she ended up locked in a closet. Meanwhile, the ship set sail unaware that the 9-1-1 officer was locked onboard. It was only when Captain Massey had sailed the ship to international waters that the ship's crew realized that they had a rather unexpected guest on board.

Athena seems to have joined the cruise at quite an opportune time since it was the Casino week onboard. Athena, however, was often visited by the horrors of her previous trip to the seas when the ship she was on was hijacked by terrorists and ended with a catastrophe.

To take Athena's edge off, the ship's crew serve her with an extravagant fare along with drinks and champagne. They also bring several ravishing ballroom gowns for the 9-1-1 officer to try out and flaunt.

The investigation continues

Despite being treated well by the cruise staff, 9-1-1 officer Athena couldn't afford to spend her entire time vacationing onboard. The FBI gives her the tip that although she managed to arrest the said criminal before boarding, two of his accomplices were at work on the cruise, right under Athena's nose. The suspects were planning to raid the ship's vault.

Athena quickly sprung to action after receiving this piece of intel. Following a meticulous investigation, she realized that the suspects were an odd pair - an elderly lady working in consort with her adolescent grandson. Athena was able to decipher their true identity via a trail of glitter that led to them.

The duo's sinister plan involved thieving the cruise guests' jewelry and replacing them with fake replicas made by 3D printing. The suspects are eventually arrested and flown back to land by the FBI.
