During the 2020 interview on The View, billionaire entrepreneur and Shark Tank investor Mark Cuban expressed his great concern about the condition of US politics, calling it "unbelievable."

When one of the hosts asked Cuban for his views on the state of the race, he described it as telling children a fairy tale.

"It's like pick your choice of crazy, you know. It's unbelievable. it's like sitting down with kids and telling fairy tales and hoping something comes true."
"There's just you know, politics used to be around, you know, facts, policies intellectual discussions. Now it's like whose team are you on? You know, it's more about what story you want to fall behind you know, Bernie is Robin Hood. Take from the rich give to the poor. I don't even know what Donald Trump is, right or some of the other candidates. So yeah, it's crazy. I've never seen anything like this."

Shark Tank's Mark Cuban explained how American politics transformed from fact-based policy debates to a team-like rivalry fueled by narratives rather than substance. He observed that candidates were being identified by broad, simplistic stories, such as Bernie Sanders' portrayal as "Robin Hood", rather than thorough policy arguments.

Cuban also expressed surprise over how politicians such as Donald Trump were portrayed, highlighting the unpredictable and divisive contemporary political scene.
