If you've been eagerly anticipating a glimpse into Colman Domingo's new thriller series, The Madness, your wait is over—the first trailer has finally dropped! It features Domingo as media pundit Muncie Daniels, who's thrown into a life-threatening situation after accidentally discovering a murder in the remote Poconos mountains.
The Madness focuses on how Muncie will prove his innocence and reconnect with his estranged family. His journey is filled with struggles and challenges faced by real-life media figures. When talking about his character in a featurette, Colman Domingo explained that the titular character mirrors real-life media personalities and added:
"He is someone who was definitely an activist when he was younger, then moved into a different echelon and then became a bit of a superstar. He’s a little bit removed from the communities he was advocating for."
The Academy Award nominee also shared his excitement to play Daniels, a character with centrist beliefs who found himself in an unexpected situation. In this political thriller, Daniels has a limited time to unravel the conspiracy as it would lead to deadly outcomes if he fails to uncover the truth.
