Love Is Blind recently dropped the trailer for its upcoming eighth season. The upcoming season of Love Is Blind takes place in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minnesota, and is special since it marks the fifth anniversary of the popular Netflix dating show. Over the years, the popular template of Love Is Blind has engrossed audiences all across the globe, leading to several international spinoffs and reboots.

The Netflix show follows a unique structure in which single men and women are brought together in the 'pods' which are essentially modular lounges where the contestants are forbidden from seeing each other. It is essentially through this phase of blind dating that they are expected to get to know each other. Once the initial phase is over, contestants are allowed to propose to their person of liking and if the answer is yes, they see each other for the first time.

The real test of the contestants' love begins on Love Is Blind when the couple is sent out into the world to determine the veracity of their love. While most relationships falter, a few remain strong through thick and thin. The eighth season of Love Is Blind arrives on Netflix this Valentine's Day.

Here's everything that we know.

What happens in the trailer of Love Is Blind season 8?

The trailer for season 8 begins with a female contestant stating:

"When the doors opened and I saw him, I thought he's so familiar to me. I believe he knew exactly what I looked like the entire time we were talking through a wall."

We then see thirty-one year old Oncology nurse Meg remarking hopefully:

"I think half of us could leave here engaged"

She then jokingly compares the show to The Hunger Games. The trailer then finds the contestants entering the pods and sharing bright moments while getting to know each other without the benefit of sight. There are a few cringe-worthy exchanges as well, such as when Lauren reveals that she's thirty years old, David remarks that she's no longer attractive in that case.

Moving on, a contestant called Daniel shared on an intimate note:

"My sister was born blind. She just loves people without seeing them. If I could just be a little bit like her, that'd be cool."

Soon enough, jealousy starts making the rounds among the contestants, with Laura complaining to the camera:

"I can't wait to tell my boyfriend to break up with his girlfriend. She's trying to date the person that I want to marry, that sucks."

The trailer then has the contestants getting through their honeymoon phase and returning from their trip to the tropics. Tensions escalate therein, with family members advising them against their decisions. A contestant called Devin is startled when his fiancee asks for a prenup agreement while another bride is seen leaving in a getaway car.
