What happened on NCIS: Sydney Season 2 Episode 8? '

The latest episode of the CBS series began with the shocking discovery of a body made by two kayakers. The body is found in a bizarre condition inside a specialized casket and appears to have been drained of its blood. As Mackey and J.D. kickstart their investigation, it turns out that the deceased is American Naval Petty Officer Ezra Stokes. Doc further confirms that Stokes died as a result of exsanguination and was bitten by an unknown entity that must have been larger than a mosquito and smaller than a dog.

At the time of his death, Stokes had tickets to the esteemed Goth club Hell Hole with him. Taking the investigation to the club, Mackey and J.D. reminisce about Mackey's own Goth phase back in school. On the other hand, upon tracking down the specialized casket, it is discovered that the order went to a person named Dawn Lazar. In another unexpected twist, the latest episode of NCIS: Sydney Season 2 revealed that Lazar runs a Vodka brand titled Kiss of Death, and the caskets are a part and parcel of their unique marketing campaign.

The team then learn about Vampirica, whom Stokes had befriended online and whose real name is Celeste. Nevertheless, Dawn soon confessed that she used to drink Stokes's blood and had a fond affair with him. Ultimately, the episode ended with the revelation that Dawn's son is the actual killer. He ended up murdering Stokes as a result of jealousy and owing to his insecurity for being passed over as the heir.

EP opens up about NCIS: Sydney Season 2

Morgan O'Neill is the executive producer of the CBS show, and in a recent interview with TVInsider, he opened up about the idea of the sophomore season taking to a different backdrop:

"It’s a challenge for us, We’re not just in the studio next door. We can’t just pull Rocky Carroll out and drag him on our set. It’s not quite that easy. But I would say the great thrill of a franchise like NCIS is that it’s an interconnected world. Fans love that it is, and we’re certainly trying to work out ways where we can satisfy the desire for a kind of crossover or an interaction of sorts. So that may be happening in our future, I suppose, is the best way to put it.”

NCIS: Sydney Season 2 is exclusively available on CBS.
