NCIS Season 22 Episode 15, 'Moonlight,' is set to release on CBS on Monday, March 24, 2025. A spin-off of the hit CBS legal drama, JAG, NCIS is based on a group of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service who investigates high-profile criminal activities.

The synopsis of NCIS reads:

"A highly trained group of NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) personnel investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties"

In February 2025, CBS has decided to renew NCIS for Season 23. Even though nothing much is known about the upcoming series, CBS has decided to debut the police procedural show in late 2025.

Release date and streaming details of NCIS Season 22 Episode 15

The CBS police drama NCIS was back after a mid-season hiatus on January 27, 2025, airing Episode 10, The Baker's Man. The following four episodes were released as per schedule every week on Monday.

However, there would be another three-week wait before Episode 15 would air. Even though the reason remains unknown, viewers are suspecting the time slot unavailability due to NCAA March Madness. NCIS Season 22 Episode 15, 'Moonlight' is all set to release on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

What happened in NCIS Season 22 Episode 14?

NCIS Season 22 Episode 14, 'Close to Home,' premiered on Monday, March 3, 2025. The episode begins with Dr. Jimmy Palmer's daughter Victoria finding a bundle of cash near the naval library. She took it to Special Agent Nick Torres and the team, started investigating the origin of the money. The synopsis of the episode reads:

"When Torres receives a text from Jimmy's daughter who has discovered a large sum of money near the naval library, the team works together to investigate."

When the NCIS started investigating the source of the money, they linked it to a 15-year-old bank robbery that was unsolved. The press called the uncaught robber Saratoga Specter. Agent Kasie found out that it was Carson Monroe, originally from Saratoga, who could be the suspected robber. When she went to his apartment, she found Carson dead and that he was not the specter.

NCIS realized Carson knew about the actual specter and hence they started investigating the surveillance footage when they realized Victoria found the money near a community called Briarwood and not near the naval library. What followed is an interesting investigation when Dr. Jimmy Palmer went undercover to locate the murderer and thief. There he came across Wendy Hill, the specter's daughter, who revealed the truth. Kasie found out that the security guard Rhonda was working with Carson, and they were looking for the specter's money and spying on the residents using an app.

Using the app, NCIS created a trap and Rhonda was arrested for the murder. This episode portrayed the strained relationship between Dr. Jimmy Plamer and his daughter even though by the end of it, they tried to spend some time together.
