"National treasure" - Celebrity Big Brother UK fans react to Patsy wanting to be eliminated 

Celebrity Big Brother UK season 24 episode 2 dropped on April 16, 2025, on ITV. The episode featured an elimination, and Trisha Goddard was the one to go home. It was a sad affair for her because she wanted to stay longer. The Big Brother house has been a happy distraction for her from her cancer treatments.

Trisha was on the chopping block along with Jack Shepherd and Patsy Palmer. The public had saved the two and sent Trisha home. However, Patsy was not happy with the decision the public made either.

She expressed wanting to go home to her children. The star hoped the viewers would understand her feelings and eliminate her. Patsy felt "ready" to leave as if it were her time to exit the house.

However, fans were against the idea and felt they wanted to see more of Patsy on Celebrity Big Brother. They recalled the days when Patsy used to do EastEnders and served them the "iconic Bianca."

Some fans even expressed their disappointment at how Trisha wanted to stay so badly and yet was sent home, while Patsy, who wants to go home, was not. A user @98kltk on X wrote,

"Does Patsy not realise what a national treasure she is, soap fans go hard when you’ve served us the iconic Bianca"

However, fans were pretty upset upon hearing that Patsy has been wanting to go home. They expressed their disappointment in a post on X. A user wrote,

"as much as i love THEEE Patsy Palmer.. i can’t keep hearing her say how much she wants to go or time to go faster"

"i hate how patsy palmer remembers “the good old days’. she’s like 30 in my eyes," wrote another user.

Fans noted that Patsy has been "depressed" on Celebrity Big Brother and called out the way Trisha, who cared about her presence, was sent home. A user on X wrote,

"Shame on British public for voting her out so soon! She was enjoying the respite from her cancer and enjoying herself away from scans chemo and nasty treatment bless her! I love Patsy Palmer but she openly admitted she wanted to go home and no one listened!"

Celebrity Big Brother - Trisha Goddard goes home, and Patsy stays

Trisha Goddard, who used to host her show called Trisha, was eliminated from Celebrity Big Brother. Despite wanting to stay and spend time with her castmates, the public had decided against her favour. She revealed her cancer diagnosis and how being with people around her was a distraction.

Trisha was diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time in 2008. At the time, it was reported that the star was in a safe zone as it was treated and cured.

However, she was again diagnosed with the same cancer for the second time in 2023. This time, Trisha has revealed that her doctors claim that the cancer is treatable but will not be cured completely.

The housemates, upon her exit, expressed their disappointment at how they liked Trisha and will miss her. Chesney Hawkes claimed that she was "sad," while Angellica Bell talked to Big Brother about Patsy. She said,

"Patsy, I’m not sure if she wants to be here, but if you’re gonna be here, everyone wants their spot, so hopefully she can just enjoy the next few days before we have to go through nominations again."
