Prime Video released Beast Games on December 19, 2024. The reality game show started with 1,000 players and advanced with various exciting tasks. After multiple eliminations, challenges, and twists, fans witnessed interesting incidents.

Initially, after a few challenges, seeing the popularity of some players in the game, they were offered bribes. One of which was Player 991, aka Jeremy Grant. However, he turned down the $1 million bribe and continued participating.

Beast Games Episode 4, The Golden Ticket, featured the fourth helicopter approaching the players to take them to the island. Many people chanted his name, after which he "prayed," which sparked various debates among the fans.

Player 991 received massive backlash from the viewers, while some shared their thoughts via comments on X (formerly Twitter.)

One of the fans wrote on social media platform X:

"Jeremy on #BeastGames wouldn't last two minutes in the uk. Absolute cult leader, huge narcissist, using religion to manipulate them all. Why doesn't he take his sunglasses off? Definitely has dead eyes. Won't be watching this again. Turned something fun into a religious circus."

Another fan referred to Jeremy as a "cult leader" and commented:

"Jeremy moves like a cult leader, can't stand his pretentious a**."

Another fan wrote about Player 991:

"Jeremy is an unhinged grifter. I hate that George teamed up with him."

A user wrote about the player and his gameplay:

"#991 is cringe, creepy and almost awful to watch. In the next on they need to vet the people better."

A fan mentioned Player 991 on X:

"Contestant number 991 Jeremy aka The Preacher, this boy I'm sure will start a cult or a Church in the US soon."

A person referred to Jeremy as "weird" and shared:

"Jeremy (991) is using prayer to manipulate these people. He's weird, and everybody idolizing him."

A person wrote about Beast Games Episode 4:

"I'm watching Beast games solely bc it's so stupid. And the amount of of crying in every episode, is truly so american of a competition show. And episode 4 with Jeremy praying is so inherently wild #Beastgames #Primevideo."

A netizen mentioned Jeremy:

"More than anything, episode #4 of #BeastGames has shown this is just adult Lord of The Flies starring Jeremy as Mike Pence. Jeremy creeps me out, too! I wouldn't give him my coin, either! 10 of us didn't NEED to give a coin. The misogyny is reaaaaaaal."

Beast Games Episode 4: Player 991, aka Jeremy Grant's gameplay

Beast Games Episode 4 aired on January 2, 2025. The episode saw a fourth helicopter arriving for more players. Mr Beast explained how only six players would advance, and one of them would be responsible for their fate.

For the task, 110 players were given one coin each, while the one who would collect 100 coins within 10 minutes would be getting on the helicopter. Additionally, that player will select the rest of the five players to advance in the game.

Soon, many players started chanting Player 991, a name that was pronounced Jeremy. They then went to him and started giving him their coins. While most players did that, some participants did not support that.

Beast Games Player Mia shared that Player 991 was "weird" and unfriendly. One more player, Canyon, mentioned that there were 60 players "under" Jeremy's thumb.

Listening to that, Mia added, "That's what Satan does." Seeing such behavior from Player 991 and some of the players towards him, fans of the show took to social media platform X and criticized him for his behavior.
