Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Destiny opens up about her "healing" journey and relationship with Lance
On Love & Marriage: Huntsville, the show host asked Destiny how she felt after filming resumed and being part of the series once again. He quoted Kimmi who felt that Destiny wasn't being "vulnerable" on camera and didn't share much of her life events with the audience.
Destiny explained that at that time she wasn't in the right mental space to be vulnerable and had to go through a "healing" process to feel comfortable in opening up. She said:
"Yeah, I can say that there were times that I couldn't give and I wasn't in the space to give. Honestly had to do a lot of healing for real to be able to come out and be vulnerable and be a better version of myself."
Upon hearing this, Kimmi stated she did notice a change in Destiny and wasn't aware that Destiny had her own healing to do at that time. She continued:
"Absolutely. Maybe I didn't think through the fact that she had some healing to do to be able to you know, open up and give but whatever that time frame was allotted to her, it's been definitely better."
Later in the episode, the show host brought up Lance and asked Destiny questions about her love life. He questioned whether she and Lance were together for the "storyline" or were actually into one another. Destiny clarified that she and Lance had a "crazy type of chemistry" for years and that they both wanted to pursue each other romantically.
The Love & Marriage: Huntsville cast member revealed she and Lance were dating and were not in a rush to take the next step in their relationship. She said that after her divorce, she wanted to take some time and was satisfied with dating as of now. Destiny further mentioned:
"Lance and I have had this crazy type of chemistry for years and we both met in the midst of going through our divorces."
New episodes of Love & Marriage: Huntsville are released every week on Saturdays at 8/7c exclusively on OWN TV.
