Saturday Night Live is back with its latest episode, which premiered on March 30, 2025. After a short hiatus, the renowned show is back with many talented artists and personalities. The premiere featured Marcello Hernández in various segments, one of which was as an acting coach.

Marcello Hernández played the acting coach, Theodore Strop. Oscar-winning actress Mikey Madison was also present. She was one of the students whom he referred to as his "star student."

After two students' scenes were not fine, according to the coach, he invited his star student, Connie, aka Mikey Madison, to practice the scene with:

"Connie, my star student my queen, come up here now," he said.

During the segment featured on Saturday Night Live, Marcello Hernández welcomed new students to "commercial acting" and asked them to show him something. According to Theodore, the number one rule of commercial acting was:

"The number one rule is you're not selling a product - you're telling a story."

Two of the newly joined students performed a scene from the Flonase commercial. However, the acting coach was not happy with that. He told the students they were not "engaged" with the scene. He referred to the students as they were "listening" but not "actively" listening.

He invited his star student, Connie, played by Mikey Madison. He told her to "do the lines," to which he would "actively listen." After their scene, one of the students said that the scene was a "little" distracting.

Listening to him, the coach responded:

"Oh, really? And who's the expert here? You with zero acting credits or me with three?"

Further in the scene, Marcello, the acting coach, shared some insights. During the segment, he also revealed to the students that he auditioned for the incest scene from The White Lotus alongside his biological brother, and he didn't hate it.

"So you didn't get the part and made out with your own brother?" asked one of the students.

Later, when he asked his students if anyone had any questions, one of them asked for advice before taking headshots. The coach on Saturday Night Live recommended "one had on" and "one profile." He had his headshots with him, which he showed his class. The pictures were from his mug shots, which students could also see.

On the contrary, the coach said they cost him nothing despite the pictures being the "mug" shots. On top of that, he got "free headshots," and he got to drive while "drunk." He called it a "win-win" situation. Viewers also witnessed the coach performing a Nike commercial with one of the students, which was hilarious.

To enjoy the entire segment featuring Marcello Hernández and Mikey Madison, fans can stream Saturday Night Live on NBC and Peacock.
