The cancellation of My Lady Jane Season 2 sparked a wild reaction from fans, who have now launched a petition to bring back another season. The show's first season was released on July 27, 2024, and received critical acclaim from fans, achieving a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite its success, Amazon canceled the show and decided not to proceed with another season.

The cancellation shocked many, prompting them to launch a campaign advocating for another season. The "Save My Lady Jane" petition was started by Christina Burdick, who urges people to voice their support for a second season of the show. In her petition, Burdick wrote:

"We are tired of heartless, corporate, capitalistic, mega streaming platforms canceling actually good shows full of wonderful writing, performances, and storylines. What Prime Video is saying by canceling this show is "we don't care about our customers' needs or about quality. We only see dollar signs"

She further mentioned that the show should return to Amazon Prime Video or find a "new home," stressing that fans "must save this show."

"Whether it stays on Prime or finds a new home, we must save this show. The cast deserves it. The crew deserves it. Lady Jane deserves it. No way did we rewrite her history just for her to get the axe again," she contiued.

Concluding her statement, Burdick requested people to watch the show and help "spread the word."

"Keep streaming the show. Keep spreading the word. Reach out to other streaming platforms. Never stop talking about this show. Jane wouldn't want us to give up without a fight. WE NEED MY LADY JANE SEASON 2! SAVE MY LADY JANE!" she added.

Thousands of fans have come forward in support of the petition. Some have even taken to the comments section to express their thoughts on the matter.

One user wrote that My Lady Jane "deserves another season."

"It's a very good show, and it deserves another season" a fan wrote.

Meanwhile, another fan expressed their disappointment at the show not being renewed for a second season.

"Y'all dropped this all at once a month before the Olympics. You do weekly releases for most of your other big shows, telling me you didn't really give this one a fighting chance. It only needs one more season!"

Another fan wrote,

"This is a great entertaining show!! Please bring season 2!!"

Another fan commented,

"This show is amazing and refreshing and deserves many more seasons," another fan supported.

Why did Amazon cancel My Lady Jane Season 2?

My Lady Jane received significant appreciation from fans for its unique plot and story. Unfortunately, it did not attract a large enough audience for Amazon Prime Video to renew it for another season. The viewership led to its cancellation.

My Lady Jane is a historical fantasy romance series that tells the story of Jane, who her mother forces into marrying Lord Guildford Dudley.

"Are you ready for an epic tale of true love, high adventure, regicidal maniacs, deadpan heroism, devious intrigues, swashbuckling swordfights, a soupçon of magical realism and oodles of yearning, banter and undeniable chemistry? Of course you are. Welcome to My Lady Jane," reads its synopsis on Amazon Prime Video.
