The Big Bang Theory's prequel spin-off series, Young Sheldon, had many memorable recurring characters.

Along with a star cast led by Lance Barber, Iain Armitage, Annie Potts and Zoe Perry, the show banked on many other actors who played recurring characters, often serving as running gags on the show.

One such character was Sarah Baker's Cheryl Hutchins, a librarian at Sheldon's school who had an infinite supply of sad stories. She was introduced in Young Sheldon Season 1 Episode 2, and became a recurring character, often offering humor with her many sob stories.

One of her most memorable sequences is when she gets hit. George then invites her to stay with his family during a football game, which creates many comical situations for them.

Many might recognize Ms. Hutchins from her guest appearances on popular sitcoms. From The Office to Brooklyn 99, Baker has appeared in minor roles in many sitcoms before and even after landing a role in Young Sheldon. She also reprised her character in TBBT's spin-off Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage.

After appearing in many popular sitcoms, she finally landed a central role in Netflix's The Kominsky Method.
