Modern Family, the ABC sitcom that ran for eleven seasons, is a fan favorite and has created its own place on the small screen. The mockumentary-style adventures of the Dunphys, Tucker-Pritchetts, and Delgado-Pritchetts created some hilarious moments, which are relatable to almost all families.

Here are the Top 5 cold opens from Modern Family.

Top 5 cold opens from Modern Family

5) When Lily hated babies (Modern Family Season 3 Episode 2)

This list would be incomplete without a Lily moment from the cold opens, and this one is hilarious. When Cam and Mitch plan to adopt a second baby, Lily starts hating babies because she feels jealous.

The couple even tries to introduce her to some babies, which ends badly, as she pushes the baby off of Cam's lap. The sequence hilariously portrays Lily hating the idea of a new sibling in their life, creating many funny moments. In addition, Mitch asking Cam to tone down on their adoption announcement, and him showing up with firecrackers? Laugh out loud moment.

4) When Gloria accidentally sent an e-mail to Claire (Modern Family Season 2 Episode 13)

The initial rivalry between Gloria and Claire made for some hilarious moments on the sitcom (like "Coal-digger"), and this cold open easily tops the charts. Gloria sits in front of her computer, trying to inform Claire that she will not work with her on the upcoming bake sale, but in a nice way.

She asks Jay to help, but he writes her exact words in the e-mail as a prank:

"I can't work on the bake sale because you are a bossy control freak who looks down on me."

Things get messy when Gloria accidentally presses the send button! And the e-mail whooshes away, getting this iconic response from Gloria:

"Why the Whooosh? Make it come back! Please come back"

3) When the three musketeers went out for orange juice (Modern Family Season 8 Episode 8)

While the sitcom has seen many wholesome relationships through the seasons, none as unique as Gloria, Phil, and Cam, who always had each other's backs.

The Pritchett's in-laws even had their secret alliance, where they would meet if any of them were in trouble with their respective spouses. When Stella goes missing and Cam lies to Mitch about their new tenants, the three Musketeers decide to meet again, using their signature code word, "Orange juice."

This cold open deserves a spot in this list for Mitch's expressions alone. When Cam announces that he is going out to buy orange juice, just as his husband turns over with a pitcher full of it, comedy gold!

2) When Mitch-Cam came unannounced (Modern Family Season 2 Episode 20)

Another classic cold open where the Dunphy family was displayed in all their glory. When Mitch and Cam were revising their will and deciding who should take care of Lilly if "God forbid" something happened to them, they were dropping by unannounced to everybody's places to see how they are as a family.

When they dropped by at the Dunphys' one fine morning, the scene was chaotic. Between Haley calling Claire the worst mother ever, Phil almost burning the house down, Luke trying to juggle with knives, and Alex going unnoticed in the locked garage, the scene was a lot to take in for the couple. It is safe to say Claire-Phil was not their first choice.

1) When Luke misunderstood noise-cancelling headphones (Modern Family Season 1 Episode 18)

Luke is undoubtedly a fan-favorite character, and this classic moment from Season 1 deserves a No. 1 spot on this list. Phil brings a pair of noise-cancelling headphones, which frustrates Claire as she feels she is the only one handling all of their children's crises.

Phil understands this, and while the couple are distributing their chores for the day, Luke gets his hands on the headphones. Just one problem, with noise-cancelling, he understood that nobody would be able to hear what he said while wearing them. While his parents are bickering over who will help him with the school project, he says this, with Phil and Claire giving a classic stare:

''No one can hear me now. Whoooo! Everybody is stupid except me.''
