After the success of The Gentlemen on Netflix, Guy Ritchie returns with another action-packed, intense show. MobLand, which premiered on Disney+ on March 30, 2025, features Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Paddy Considine, and Helen Mirren as key characters.

MobLand explores the violent conflict between two mob families, the Harrigans and the Stevensons, triggered by the disappearance of Richie Stevenson’s son.

The storytelling and thematic depth of MobLand align perfectly with Guy Ritchie’s signature style. In discussing this, Anson Boon, who portrays Conrad Harrigan’s son Kevin, mentioned to ET:

“It’s very fast-paced. It’s a very slick, well-oiled machine.”

In the same interview, Boon mentioned that Guy Richie’s approach to the story essentially shaped how they performed:

“The way he works affected the way that we play our characters because his sets have such an energy to them.”

MobLand is a quintessentially Guy Richie show

Fans who are familiar with Guy Richie’s work would agree that one word that describes his work very well is “slick.” Be it the dialogues, the characters, or the story itself, every film and show of Guy Richie is marked by a stylistic element entirely his own.

With a punch of dry humor, Richie tells stories of violence that not only evoke excitement but also a sense of humor. MobLand falls right into Richie’s way of storytelling, and with a bunch of unruly and powerful characters who would do as they please, the show becomes a fun and yet tense ride.

Talking about Guy Richie’s style and why his fans have come to love it so much, Boon mentioned to ET:

“He’s got a very unique style, that signature Guy Ritchie rhythm and cadence that he brings to the dialogue and action. You soak that up and inevitably take it on. And I think that’s why his films are so unique and why people love them so much—because it does have that real quick flair to it.”

Talking about the actors he worked with and how they affected the general energy on the set, Boon said in the same interview:

“I think we would both agree that they are so playful and energetic. They came with full enthusiasm for every single scene. We’re lucky enough to have a lot of scenes with them. What I definitely learned from them is just keeping that enthusiasm for what you do, be really playful and approach every scene like it's your first one that you're really hungry to do. Their energy is infectious, and I’ve definitely caught the bug.”

New episodes of MobLand drop on Paramount+ every Sunday at 3 AM.
