What to expect from the series?

Ronan Bennett created MobLand, a global crime series set within London's underworld, according to MovieWeb.com. The series was originally planned as a spin-off prequel to Showtime's Ray Donovan, titled The Donovans. It was meant to explore how Ray (Liev Schreiber) and Mickey (Jon Voight) became entangled in the criminal world and how difficult it is to escape.

When development stalled, the show was reworked and relocated to London. Early working titles included The Associate and The Fixer. When the project transitioned from Showtime to Paramount+, the title was officially changed to MobLand.

As noted in Paramount+'s official press release:

"MobLand is about the Harrigans and Stevensons, two warring London crime families who clash in a kill-or-be-killed battle that threatens to topple empires and ruin lives. Caught in the crossfire is Harry Da Souza (Hardy), the street-smart ‘fixer’ as dangerous as he is handsome, who knows too well where loyalties lie when opposing forces collide. As kingdom goes up against kingdom, lines will be crossed – and the only saving grace is a bet-your-life guarantee: family above everything."

The Harrigan family consists of father Conrad (Brosnan), mother Maeve (Mirren), their sons Kevin (Paddy Considine) and Brendan (Daniel Betts), daughter Seraphina (Mandeep Dhillon), Kevin's wife Bella (Lara Pulver), and Kevin and Bella's unstable son, Eddie (Anson Boon).

The Harrigans' grip on London's underworld is challenged by the rapidly rising Stevenson gang, led by the ruthless Richie (Geoff Bell). Harry Da Souza (Hardy), the central figure of the series, is caught between the two crime syndicates. Similar to Ray Donovan, Harry is a criminal "fixer"—a high-earning problem-solver who eliminates trouble for criminals.

With his wife Jan (Joanne Froggatt) and trusted associate Zosia (Jasmine Jobson), Harry attempts to maintain peace in London while ensuring his family's security and prosperity.

In short, the series will be premiering on Paramount+ on March 30, 2025, with fresh episodes every Sunday through June 1, 2025. The 10-episode series follows two rival London crime families fighting for power. The show reunites Guy Ritchie and Tom Hardy and features an impressive cast, including Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren.
