MobLand Episode 3 recap: How did Harry stall the war between Harrigans and Stevensons?

Paramount+'s MobLand is getting nail-bitingly exciting with every episode, and episode 3 was a thrilling ride for Tom Hardy's Harry through and through.

The episode reveals the killer of Richie's son, Tommy, which delights Maeve. Harry finally discovers that Eddie killed Tommy, but he threatens Valjon to take the fall for Kevin's son instead, and just like that, the fixer stalls the gang war between the Harrigans and the Stevensons.

Elsewhere, Harry visits his cleaning lady Maria in the nursing home, who needs help with her ailing mother. While in the nursing home, Harry spots an old man and has a flashback about him in a juvenile centre, receiving a beating from the old man, who was a guard there. It is hinted that Harry might take some serious action against him in the upcoming episodes.

MobLand Episode 3 recap: Richie's violent search for his son Tommy

In episode 3, Richie is still searching for his missing son, Tommy. When he does not receive a definitive answer from Harry, he blows up Kevin's house. While nobody was harmed, Richie's actions clearly showed that he would stop at nothing to find his son. In addition, he sent men to threaten Harry at his house, where he promised to deliver news about Tommy soon.

Harry was quick to take action and invited Kevin and his son Eddie to his shipping yard, where they saw Valjon, the club manager, bloodied and tied. While Eddie denies knowing him, he reveals that he killed Tommy by stabbing him 50-60 times. He then offered Valjon £10,000 to chop and dispose of Tommy's body.

MobLand Episode 3 recap: Harry's master plan stalled the gang war for now

After hearing the truth, Kevin scolds Eddie about how he has just started a gang war and warns him that Richie will come after the Harrigans if he knows that their son killed Tommy.

Knowing this would blow out of proportion, Harry devises a plan to threaten Valjon to take the fall for Eddie. He and Kevin threaten to go after his children if he does not take the fall and confess to killing Tommy in front of Richie.

Since there was no way out for him, Valjon delivers a fake version of the story to Richie and tells how he accidentally killed Tommy. While Richie does not initially buy the fake story, he sees his son's dead remains and finally buys Harry's ruse, and the fixer saves the day once again.

MobLand Episode 3 recap: Detective Fisk discovers Archie's body

Harry might have stalled Richie for now, but Detective Fisk has been planning against the Harrigans for a long time, and he finally hits the jackpot in Episode 3. While tailing Harry, Fisk receives an anonymous tip about the location of Archie's body.

Archie was believed to be a 'grass' by Conrad, and he killed him in the series premiere, after which Harry and his men buried him in another man's coffin. In the final moments of MobLand Episode 3, Fisk discovers and exhumes Archie's body, hinting that there might be a mole within the Harrigans.
