1) Mohammed Amer as Mo Najjar

Mo Amer reprises his role as Mohammed "Mo" Najjar in the new season. After the chaotic events of the first season, Mo is stranded in Mexico and is looking for a way to return to the US before the court hearing regarding his family’s asylum.

Amer also serves as the co-creator of the series. The stand-up comic is known for his comedy specials and has also starred in the films Sweet Dreams, Black Adam, and Americanish. He has been seen in the Hulu comedy drama Ramy as well.

2) Farah Bsieso as Yusra

Farah Bsieso continues to portray Yusra, Mo Najjar’s mother. In Mo season 2, she faces a conflict over whether she should continue to seek asylum in Houston or go back to Palestine to check up on her relatives. Before starring in Mo, Farah had an extensive career in the Middle East, appearing in shows like Halawet Elrouh and Game of Death.

3) Omar Elba as Sameer

Omar Elba returns as Sameer, Mo Najjar’s brother and a fan-favorite character in the second season. Omar’s long-standing wish is fulfilled in the new installment as he is finally granted asylum in the US.
