Fans of thrillers who love it with a dash of unpredictable twists are no strangers to Harlan Coben’s name. The acclaimed author is famous for novels with tightly knit storylines that progress through twists bound to keep the readers on the edge of their seats. Coben’s signature twist at the end also makes his novels a compelling and thrilling read.

Before Missing You, the latest one of the Coben adaptations that premiered on Netflix on January 1, 2025, the streaming platform has previously adapted his novels like The Stranger, Gone for Good, Fool Me Once, etc.

Missing You was a much-anticipated show on Netflix, and the series dropped all five episodes together, giving the viewers a chance to binge-watch. Let us now explore the episode list of Missing You and other details of the show.

How many episodes are there in Missing You on Netflix?

Missing You on Netflix is a limited series with five episodes released on January 1, 2025. The episode list is as follows:

  • Episode 1 - Every Breath You Take
  • Episode 2 - With or Without You
  • Episode 3 - Never Too Much
  • Episode 4 - Don't You Forget About Me
  • Episode 5 - Chain Reaction

The episodes follow Rosalind Eleazar’s Detective Kat Donovan, who starts investigating her father’s death and simultaneously joins a dating app to start fresh. However, in an unforeseen turn of events, Kat finds her ex-fiance Josh (Ashley Walters) on the same app. Josh had ghosted Kat 11 years ago, and with him reappearing in her life, it seems that Josh’s reappearance and Kat’s father's death will have some uncanny and twisted connection.

As Kat’s personal and professional life collide and her understanding of people around her and the amount of faith to be put in them gradually blurs, a number of people seem to be disappearing, further intensifying the mystery.

As Kat deals with these disappearances, things get further complicated, and it is not until the last episode that all these mysteries come to a conclusion. However, because of a lot of things happening together, several fans felt that the conclusion could not really tie everything up satisfactorily.

More about Missing You

Rosalind Eleazar of Slow Horses fame stars as Detective Kat Donovan, the protagonist of Missing You. In an interview with What To Watch, Eleazar talked about the character, saying,

“When we first meet Kat, people might think of her as quite a strong person, but we see that getting chipped away. She has a lot of anger and unanswered questions.”

As the show offers deep insights into her character, viewers will get to see different sides of her as the world around her gets threatened with secrets and lies. Besides her, Missing You also stars Richard Armitage as Detective Stagger, who is also Kat’s boss. Armitage has been a favorite of Coban as he has mostly been associated with Coban adaptations on Netflix in some way or the other.

Talking about the relationship between Kat and Stagger, Armitage mentioned to What To Watch,

"Stagger admires Kat and wants to see her thrive. He sees elements of his best friend Clint in her, such as her ballsiness, refusal to follow the rules, and sense of humor."

Missing You also stars Jessica Plummer, Steve Pemberton, Samantha Spiro, Lenny Henry, Lisa Faulkner, and Marc Warren. Harlan Coben serves as an executive producer for the show along with Richard Fee, Danny Brocklehurst, Nicola Shindler, and Victoria Asare-Archer, and Guy Hescott is the producer.
