Medusa Season 1 ending explained

Danger Carmelo was put in charge of Barabara's case, which initially appeared as a missing person case to him. The trailer of Medusa portrays the detective arriving at Barbara's door and revealing to her the strong possibility that the bomb blast was an attack and not an accident. Danger suspects everyone from her family, from Barbara's husband to her uncle.

Together, Barbara and Danger uncover the ugly truth of her past life through several episodes while Barbara slips into delirium, finding disturbing truths about her family members. By the end of Season 1, Barbara visits Danger noticing a foam oozing out from his mouth as a result of poison intake. However, this last-minute intervention saves the detective's life. This makes Barbara feel guilty, as she blames herself for Danger's suffering.

She later tried to reform her own family. She sends Camilo, her uncle, to prison by bringing everyone's attention to his paedophilia. She wishes to divorce her husband and hence visits him in jail, where he reveals that Tatiana, his mistress, tried to kill Barbara.

However, when she reveals this to Gabriel and Danger, the latter highly doubts the possibility. This leads him to keep investigating the matter while Barbara wishes to find freedom in life. She believes this new lease of life has changed her, and she names the presidency after his brother, which surprises the whole family. Barbara reveals that she desires to live a peaceful life with Danger, Maya (her daughter), and her mother in Medusa.

Who tried to kill Barbara in Medusa Season 1?

Barbara goes to a carnival with her family, meanwhile, Danger successfully decodes the story of Tatiana and the actual culprit who tried to kill Barbara. The show escalates towards its climax when, at the carnival, Barbara goes missing, and Danger is looking for her to tell her the truth. He tracks Maya's phone and reaches out to Barbara, who is kidnapped by none other than his trusted friend, Gabriel.

Gabriel was romantically interested in Barbara, but his feelings were rejected by her older self. Gabriel was unable to take this disrespect and planned to kill her by bombing her yacht. When Barbara reappeared in his life after some time, he took it as a new chance to own her. He then killed Tatiana and tried to poison Danger to eliminate other challenges from his way.

Gabriel is later caught by Danger and sent to prison, where he ends his life and leaves an absurd note that puts Barbara and Danger again in a spiral of suspicion. It reads:
