Based on Anne Rice's Immortal Universe, Mayfair Witches Season 2 finally concluded with an epic finale, which saw an intense showdown between Julien and Rowan.

The finale saw the happy union of Lasher with his wife, but he is cunningly separated from his new family by Julien and Ian, who lure him to the woods for an important ceremony for the Mayfair men.

Julien's plans finally come to fruition as he assumes Cortland's body and, with the help of a sleeping spell, captures Rowan in a dungeon. However, she is finally rescued by Ciprien Grieve and Polina.

While she manages to save Lasher from Julien's evil the first time, he dies when Ian's wife strikes him in the finale. But since nobody actually dies in this universe, there is still a chance that Lasher will somehow return.

Here is the complete recap of the Mayfair Witches Season 2 finale.

Explaining Julien's plans in the Mayfair Witches Season 2 finale

Julien, the powerful Mayfair man whose soul can be sustained even after his death, learns about Lasher's identity as a Taltos and what power he holds. He also learns that Lasher's blood can yield power and thus plans to make the most of his union with his bride.

Knowing that Lasher's and his wife's children will also possess their father's super-growing abilities, he plans to kill his children and distribute their blood among his family. Seeing that he has already assumed Cortland's body, he does not need Lasher's body to gain a new identity.

Instead, he wants to become the most powerful Mayfair man, and because of this, he plans the ceremony with Lasher in the woods.

Lasher dies (for now) in the Mayfair Witches Season 2 finale

Thinking Rowan is still in the dungeon, Julien moves ahead in his plan and instructs Ian, who slashes Lasher's throat, and Julien collects his powerful blood in a chalice.

The group then moves towards Lasher's eight children and plans to have the same fate for them as her father, leaving Lasher to bleed out to his death. However, Rowan arrives just in time to save her dying son, and after she hears a faint heartbeat, she is able to resurrect Lasher back to life.

With Lasher alive, the group also moves to save his children from Julien's evil plans with the Talamasca. Upon arriving at the sacrificial tent, Rowan learns that Julien has drunk Lasher's blood, making him extra powerful. They try to create a distraction for Sip and the Talamasca to rescue Lasher's son, which ultimately leads to Lasher's death by Ian's wife.

Rowan again tries to resurrect her son, but it seems like it's final this time, and Lasher is dead for now but can return again in some other form. Heartbroken by his son's loss, Rowan distracts Julien, and Sip successfully harbors Lasher's children to safety.

Rowan drinks Lasher's blood in the Mayfair Witches Season 2 finale

While Rowan was trying to resurrect his dead son for the second time, Julien tempted her to drink Lasher's blood, which might give her the power of resurrection. With immense power from Lasher's blood, Julien plans to get Rowan to his side and become the ultimate power duo.

While Rowan declines his offer initially, she finally drinks Lasher's blood when she is alone with his dead body. Whether she drank his blood to resurrect him or gain power to take revenge on Julien is unclear, but it was an important turning point for her in the Mayfair Witches Season 2 finale.

The ending saw her finally return to her hometown, but her problems are not resolved as Julien also followed her and plans to bring her on his evil side so that they will become ultra-powerful.
